In the two volumes of Remarks on the Philosophy of Psychology 1 and in the first volume of Last Writings on the Philosophy of Psychology 2 Wittgenstein wrote approximately one hundred and thirty remarks on the verb "to believe". This concentration on a single verb was chiefly provoked by what Wittgenstein called "Moore's Paradox". What is Moore's Paradox?
